Is the Universe just another huge Computing machine ?
From last two decades the world has adopted to the computers because of its extensive memory and smart interaction (not intelligent) abilities. The Computers today run huge softwares that make them interact with humans or with its deployed environment in a limited way. Computers have also unlocked to us the capability of extracting insights out of huge data and they really have very interesting stories to tell.
The softwares are just a huge/small set of instructions by a human or a group of humans telling the computer to behave in a certain way when certain conditions occur. To summarize it is just a stored response to a situation. Anything that software can do today is just a permutation and combination of the action ,environmental parameters and response.
On the other hand the universe which is huge and even by imagination we cannot see its true nature. If we carefully observe the behaviours of the universe in micro or macro level, it also seems to have stored responses/behaviour in all cases. The study of physics is not creation of universe as most people believe, study of physics is just an observation of universal behaviours at different conditions. All the research is based on recording the output of this huge computing machine (universe) for various types of inputs. The universe has behavioural patterns using which we develop technology.
The universe just seem to have a set of rules that is universal in nature and the impact/output is biased on the environmental parameters. This nature of the universe can be seen in every minute thing, for example, gravity which has to pull back all the objects into ground cannot pull back a heavy rocket that is speeding towards space , because the gravity has been assigned a certain parameter beyond which it becomes incapable of pulling the object. This means gravity cannot pull back objects that reach the amount of velocity required to overpower the thug of war game played by the gravity. The question here is not the incapability but what decides the power of gravity and what decides element(x)+element(y) = gravity(z). We only know some amount of x and y elements produce some z amount of gravity. But we cannot alter/create this condition of the universe , we can only live with it.
In an other example,we all know the object of certain mass has to sink into water, but interestingly we know ships which weigh tons doesn’t sink into water. Because the boat acquires certain state of parameters which can override the sink function.
And if we look at the speed of the light, what makes it travel at 3,00,000 km/sec. What condition decides objects made of element(x)+element(y)+element(z) can travel at a speed(s) ?
At the atomic level , we know the number of protons in the nucleus of the atom is equal to the atomic number (Z) and there are so many other conditions.
Like these we can find thousands of such conditions interms of mathematical formulas that cannot be altered/created.
Out of all these behaviours , it is clear the universe has a pre-written set of conditions with a mysterious (not yet discovered) software that is implementing these conditions on every atom. It also appears that the universe is not a user of this software , but a hardware that is controlled by the software.
The universe takes the action as input and environmental parameters, computes the action and generates a output based on the conditions written into the software of the universe.
When human’s become capable of altering/creating/deleting these conditions from the software or to be clear manipulate this software. It would be a huge transformation.
