Human Body ( A gigantic computer)

Biology is a very interesting sector where the living beings on planet earth have been researched so far. I would like to call the bodies of these beings as biological machines, the type of computing devices they hold, their input devices , data encoding and the transmission of these data may be different from how the semi-conducter based computers are built but the intentions and the operations are similar in both of them. The intention of both types of machine is to extract required data and then perform operations based on it. The use of data or the processing of the data depends on the type of operation that is required.

The human body can be easily divided into many groups based on their operations. The groups are:

1. Input Devices ( Eyes,Nose,Tongue,Ear and Skin)
2. Actuators/Output devices/Action devices ( Hands, Legs,mouth and other organs)
3. Data processor and controller ( Brain )
4. Power generator ( stomach and lungs)
5. Data and Energy Carriers( Blood )
6. Data Bus and Power Cable( Blood Vessels )

Here exists a computing machine with abilities way beyond our imagination (or universe) in itself of all scales of capabilities upto a certain level.We as humans aren’t yet succesful in finding the CPU of the universe , but we know that the brain is the CPU of any organism. If we observe the smallest organisms , their computing capabilities are limited, their inputs are limited and their ability to use the memory is ignorable, so their stored procedure(software) is limited hence their behaviours are very repitative and have a small fixed set of operations.

The mechanics of human body

If we consider the human body as computing machine, we can divide it into input devices ,actuators, power generators, memory and the CPU. The input devices are limited to humans they are eyes,nose,ears,tongue and the skin , humans understand the environment around them through the data generated by these five sense organs. Stomach generates the required amount of power for all the hardware devices and it also has a way to store the excess fuel as fat. Hands and legs can be considered as actuators. The blood is both data and energy carriers, the blood vessels can be considered both power transmitter and data bus. What makes humans special out of all other organisms is their computational ability of the input data , extract insights out of it and using the data to recreate a sandbox that can be called imagination ? Human experience simply means having the data of being performed the action. The nature has very interesting way of controlling these machines(humans) or any other organisms by rewarding/punishing the machine with harmones whenever the machine performs a action.

If we consider humans of the year 2022 , we have fixed set of purpose. That is :

1. Generate Energy with the help of food
2. Activites that can help him/her gather food and food security by storing food or any other way of fetching food.
3. Finding a Partner to reproduce and nurturing the new life until it is independent to operate and it is assisted by nature by rewarding the parents with harmones that the body and the mind likes.
4. Defending the identities of oneself. Such as the name,birth place,place of work , language and nationalism etc.
5. Socialization is more like a software need of the brain , by socialization the brain improves its algorithms by adding more data and sometimes flushing the unwanted data that gives them good harmones that can mostly be found in women.

Human Thoughts

Thoughts are very imporant for living beings to operate in the universe. The thoughts are 100% logical in nature and it is completely controlled/used by the brain. If we closely analyze thoughts , the thoughts are just analysis of the situation , living things or non-living things with the data that has been already collected and that which is useful in the required operation. Also very strangely the need of active thought evaporates if one involves in the same task again and again that is because the brain has learnt all possible data by performing all possibilities of performing that action, so the need of active thought is not very important.

The same happens in a branch of computer science called machine learning , where the important components is required in learning a particular action or process, and once after learning, the same model doesn’t consume the same amount of resource that was used while learning and it is very fast than it was before.

The thoughts can only be something that the brain already knows and that which is very important to protect the body in the material universe. Thoughts can be of both types that which include emotions and that which doesn’t include emotions. The thoughts such as food hunting, reaching to a destination, protecting the body, thirsty and other thoughts that doesn’t include any emotions but are very important to maintain the body where the brain is actively involved and these types of tasks must be performed on priority.

The other type of thoughts are that which includes emotions which we often refer as feelings. This kind of thoughts doesn’t contain any kind of logic and can also be called fuzzy logic. The outcome of such thoughts are fuzzy and randomness of the situation. One such good example is the man thinking of spending the resources on someone his emotions like such as parents/wife/girlfriend/children etc , where the nature of the body is to acquire all the resouces in its use which can be observed in animal kingdom.

The computers aren’t fully capable of thoughts but something similar to logical thoughts helps itself maintain itself. Which is even very common in modern operating systems where the machine performs various tasks to keep the machine and software in a good condition. The computers until it is capable of holding the emotion (not understanding) will not able to hold any kind of logicless emotions. The neural networks bring that ability but that is also largely logical in its core. Another concept called fuzzy logic might bring that ability to computers in near future.

The human thoughts are very powerful in combination with the emotions, the soldier standing in line of duty is able to override his brain and give his life for the country where protecting the body is brain’s core funcionality. The enterpreneur risking every resource he owns and his family’s resourcefull life to build something that the brain has thought with a drop of emotion that has been poured into it. Like this the feelings of humans are strange and it can make humans perform strange operations that is not in the brain’s interest.

Computers might never be able to replicate these strange behaviours of human beings as its core is not very logical.

Emotions

Emotions which is fuzzy can only be seen as protecting the very important information that deeply matters to the body such as identities like self-respect, family,language and nationalism. The emotions seem to be something that is not logical in nature and cannot be completely controlled by the brain. Like some talks about you by your friends in your absence might bring joy or anger in you which is just a string of sounds irrespective of any emotion until it enters any human mind.

Emotions cannot be accurately defined and it is illogical in nature. The emotions play a important role in attaching the amount of importance to any task. Emotions might be a way that the nature controls the human body. One such example is a mother performing activities to take care of her baby which makes her feel good even if the activities are very simple. The father taking care of his baby is not that attached to the activities but other responsibilites such as good nurturing of the kid makes him feel good. So it is a good hypothesis that the emotions are a way through which the nature accomplishes its task. One very important aspect of the emotion is that it can override the logic of the brain and override any brain’s functionality in most cases.

The emotions protect the identity of man which is very important for the brain to not fuse out its data. Because the brain needs to have an identity and purpose inorder to not do something that is not important to the body. Very good example of this is appreciation at work place makes him feel good and thus the brain performs the task better to experience the same or better emotions in the future. The brain and the body loves the harmones that the emotions bring and is also afraid of the same harmones that negative emotions bring.

If we carefully observe this behaviour. The tasks in its true essence are independent of the good or bad context , but the results of task can have impacts on nature and the human body. For example, a human being will not cut himself , cause of the reason that it is against the will of the nature/design so the human being is filled with emotions such as fear which will pressurize the brain to avoid the task.

The computers of today are incapable of holding any emotion but it can mimic that human expressions while they go through certain emotion in certain situtations. This can make people think the machines hold emotions but it is not true. It has only learnt the type of expression that was expressed by large set of people in a similar set of situations. So , the machine just knows when to perform what kind of emotion but it doesn’t really experience any emotion such as living beings.

Conclusion

Human body is just a complex machine that is powerful and has very advanced ways of processing the data.The design of human body is just a miniscule infront of the gigantic software design. Thus very succesful in the nature.

Such type of design cannot happen out of randomness of the nature. We might be the design of aliens like how we have designed bots inside computer. If we carefully observe the rules of the material universe, it looks to be a gigantic computing machine in itself.
